Women's Studies Conferences' history and purpose
The first Women's Studies conference in Finland was arranged in 1989. Every November a growing number of researchers gather to debate and discuss
current questions and to hear the latest research results.
Keynote speakers of the conference include national and
international scholars. In addition, there are several working groups,
in which the participants present and discuss their work. The association's fall meeting is also held during the conference.
