The Association for Women's Studies in Finland was founded in 1988. This national, scientific association aims promoting Women's Studies and making it known to the public. The association publishes the Naistutkimus - Kvinnoforskning journal. In addition, we arrange seminars, courses and the annual Women's Studies Conference.

The association has more than 600 members. All the Finnish Women's Studies units and communities, students and the Naistutkimus - Kvinnoforskning journal are represented in the board. The chairwomanship of the association rotates between different universities every two years. The editorial board of the journal and the responsibility for arranging Women's Studies Conference rotate as well.

Women's Studies in Finnish universities
